How much does this cost?
It depends on the project. Business registration has flat fees. Development and consulting are either hourly or project-based, depending on what makes sense. We don't publish generic pricing because every project is different -- but we promise clear quotes with no hidden fees. Non-profits and solo entrepreneurs get significant discounts.
Do you require long-term contracts?
No. We work on a milestone basis: you pay as we deliver. If you're happy, we keep going. If not, we part ways without drama. We'd rather earn your continued business than lock you in.
How long does a typical project take?
Business registration: Usually a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on the type and province. Simple websites: 1-2 weeks. Custom applications: Weeks to months, depending on complexity. We'll give you a realistic timeline before we start -- and we'll tell you if it slips.
I'm not sure what I need. Can you help me figure it out?
Absolutely. That's what the free consultation is for. Tell us what problem you're trying to solve, and we'll help you figure out the best approach -- even if it turns out we're not the right fit.
Do you work with businesses outside Toronto?
Yes! We're based in Toronto but work with clients across Canada. Most of our work is done remotely anyway. Video calls, screen shares, and good old email work great for most projects.
What's the deal with AI? Is it actually useful?
Honestly? It depends. AI is genuinely useful for some things: lead capture, appointment booking, customer service automation. For other things, it's overhyped. We'll tell you straight whether AI makes sense for your specific situation.
Can you take over a project someone else started?
Usually, yes. We'll need to review what's already been done, which might take some time (and possibly reveal some unfortunate surprises). But we've rescued plenty of projects from other vendors who disappeared or delivered garbage.
What if I just need advice, not a full project?
That's totally fine. We do consulting on an hourly basis. Need a second opinion on a vendor proposal? Help choosing software? A quick security review? We're happy to help with one-off questions too.
How do I get started?
Just email us at hello@igloointeractive.ca. Tell us a bit about what you're trying to accomplish. We'll reply within 24 hours (usually much faster) and take it from there.
Do you sign NDAs?
We're happy to sign an NDA if it makes you feel more comfortable. That said, we'll be honest: most of the time, nobody is going to steal your idea. The real value is in execution, not the concept. NDAs often just slow things down and create paperwork that doesn't protect anyone. But if you have legitimate concerns, we'll work with you: signing NDAs, creating detailed milestones, whatever you need to feel secure about the engagement.
